The focus of NPCL's work is building strong families. NPCL accomplishes this by helping national, state, local and community-based agencies providing services to families to design, develop and implement evidence-based services and practices that enable parents to be the best parents they can be. Research indicates that children born in low-income families are more likely to experience poverty, crime, low educational achievement, and early pregnancy.
Without the support and involvement of agencies trained and empowered by NPCL to work effectively with families, many children grow up with fragile family support systems. We are dedicated to working with public and private agencies to support both parents in their efforts to go beyond high school, plan ahead, develop healthy relationships with each other, and provide a safe and secure environment for their children.
Creating strong family foundation for children to grow and develop in reaching their maximum human potential is what NPCL is all about.
